Despite being injured, Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins has been named in the 2015 Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star team.

The Seattle Sounders forward has been included in the team to face English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday, July 29 in Colorado.

The All-Star team features the likes of Martins' Sounders teammate Clint Dempsey, Kaka, David Villa, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.

Martins has not played since he was stretched out of the game against Portland Timbers on Tuesday, June 13.

Martins was the runner-up in last year’s MLS MVP voting after tallying 17 goals and 13 assists in 2014 and has scored seven goals and four assists this season.
