In the game played at The Hive in London, Moussa Sow first scored for Senegal in the second half, before Kelechi Iheanacho equalised from the spot to make the score 1-1.
Ndidi who started the game in midfield was Super Eagles best player on the night.
While Senegal dominated the game in the early minute, the only Nigerian player who could stand toe to toe with Teranga Lions was Ndidi.
He drove Super Eagles forward with his run from midfield and was also good in his distribution.
Pulse Sports gave him an 8/10 rating after the game the highest for any Nigerian player in the game.
Goalkeeper/Daniel Akpeyi: Akpeyi was Super Eagles second best player on the night after Ndidi, making some crucial saves. The goal was his fault. Rating: 7.10
RB/Kenneth Omeruo: Could not cope most of the time with the physicality of the game and to be fair to him he is not a natural right-back. Rating: 5/10
CB/Leon Balogun: Was troubled by the Senegalese frontline and always looked like he was going to get beaten. Rating 4/10
CB/William Troost-Ekong: Did well to stop the Senegalese from scoring despite dominating the game, especially in the early minutes. Still not doing well enough as a leader at the back. Rating: 6/10
LB/Elderson Echiejile: Didn’t offer much for the Super Eagles. Couldn’t defend nor attack properly. Still yet to justify his place in the Super Eagles starting XI.
DM/Ogenyi Onazi: Was completely dominated by the Senegalese before he was stretched off in the 20th minute. Rating 3/10.
CM/Wilfred Ndidi: Nothing else to say. Rating 8/10.
AM/Alex Iwobi: The Arsenal star could not cope with the physicality of the game but still shone in few moments. Created a couple of chances before going off in the second half. Rating 5/10
FW/Ahmed Musa: Poor outing from the struggling Leicester City forward. Made some good runs but his final balls are still non-existent. Rating 4/10.
ST/Kelechi Iheanacho: Struggled but managed to get some decent chances which he missed. Did well to get the penalty and pick up himself to convert it. Rating 6/10
FW/Moses Simon: Was a live wire for the Super Eagles from the wings and created some decent chances also. Defended well too. 6/10
DM/John Ogu: Gave the Super Eagles a lift when he entered and matched the Senegalese physically. His passing in the game was poor but his influence was great. Ndidi performed better when he came on. Should get a run of games under Gernot Rohr. Rating 6/10
LW/Isaac Success: His substitution in the second half was very impactful for the Super Eagles. Very direct, attacked with pace and strength. Rating 4/10
FW/Kayode Olarenwaju: Did nothing spectacular when he came in late in the game. Rating 1/10
CM/Oghenekaro Etebo: Replaced Iwobi and was very eager to shoot at goal. Impressed with his runs against tired legs. Rating 3/10.
