Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli is set for a six-figure reward if he stays at Anfield past the end of the current transfer window.

The monetary reward is as a result of a clause inserted into his contract by his agent Mino Raiola when he made the move to Liverpool from AC Milan last year.

A loyalty bonus was inserted in the £90,000-a-week contract which also contains behaviour and performance-related clauses.

Balotelli however has been told to find another club as he is not in Brendan Rodgers' plans for the season.

He was not included in Liverpool's pre-season touring squad of Asia as he has been made to train with the reserve team.

Serie A sides Lazio and Sampdoria interested in taking him back to the Italy after leaving just a year ago.

Balotelli scored just one league goal for Liverpool last season and according to a recent report, club senior officials decided to get rid of him after he scored an outrageous own goal in training.

It happened in March 2015, just after a home defeat by Manchester United during a training session overseen by then assistant manager Colin Pascoe.

The squad had gathered in a huddle during training before Balotelli saw young fullback Jon Flanagan limping 30 yards away injured.

Balotelli according to the report started shouting at Flanagan.

It was later that same day that  Balotelli was playing in a weaker team made of second fiddle players when he decided to turn around to striker a stunning own-goal from the halfway line.

The action left everyone present stunned but the controversial striker saw the funny side of it and laughed off the incident.
