Marcus Bent Former Premier League star pleads guilty to cocaine possession

This is not the first time the former England U-21 striker has been in trouble because of his possession of cocaine.

Former Premier League star Marcus Bent has pleaded guilty to cocaine possession after he was arrested on Monday, June 20.

Bent who played for Everton, Blackburn Rovers and Ipswich was arrested in possession of cocaine at Chessington World of Adventures.

He was held overnight and on Tuesday, June 21 appeared before magistrates in Wimbledon, south London where he plead guilty to one count of possessing a class A drug at the children's theme park.

He was fined £385, with £85 costs.

This is not the first time the former England U-21 striker has been in trouble because of cocaine.

He has a twelve months suspended sentence for affray and possession of cocaine.

In a shocking incident, Bent called 999 but attacked police officers under the influence of cocaine when they attended to him with a meat cleaver and kitchen knife.

The 38-year-old scored 113 goals in 574 professional games for 14 different clubs.
