Manchester City continued their high flying start of the season with a 2-0win over Everton at Goddinson Ppark.

The Citizens have now scored a total of eight goals in their opening three games of the 2015/2016 season without conceding any.

Aleksandar Kolarov put City ahead in the 60th minute when he charged up from left back, latching onto a Raheem Sterling's pass to beat Tim Howard at his near post.

Samir Nasri  came on as a substitute and scored a very clever second, chipping Howard after playing a one-two with Yaya Toure.

New signing Nicolas Otamendi was not on show as Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala continued to be excellent in defense.

Sergio Aguero was twice denied by Howard in the first nine minutes, while Sterling couldn't reach for a ball with an empty net gaping.

Romelu Lukaku was a constant menace for Kompany and Managala but could not get a goal in the game.

Silva almost got himself in the scoresheet but Everton were saved by the two minutes into the second half.

He was however the initiator for City's opener.
