Audio of striker talking about sex tape of Valbuena revealed

An audio of Karim Benzema talking about sex tape of Valbuena has been revealed

An audio of a phone conversation between Karim Benzema and a friend discussing the sex tape of Mathieu Valbuena has been revealed.

The Real Madrid striker was last month arrested and charged for an alleged attempt to blackmail Valbuena with the sex tape, though he has denied any wrongdoing.

The audio released by L'Equipe is a 20-minute conversation between Benzema and his childhood friend Karim Zenati where he can be heard telling Valbuena “if you want the video to be destroyed, come see my friend in Lyon.”

Benzema also tells Zenati that he believed Valbuena thought the whole affair was a joke, saying: “I don't think he's taking us seriously.”

Conversation made by three alleged blackmailers were monitored by investigators of the case.

On October 6, while on national team training in their training base in Clarefontaine, Benzema assured Valbuena that he was here to help matters relating to the sex tape.

“I give you my word there is not another copy,” Benzema is heard telling Valbuena.

“If you want the video to be destroyed, come see my friend in Lyon. You see him directly and you speak with him, you send nobody.”

When speaking to his friend, Benzema revealed that Valbuena panicked when he discussed the sex tape with him.

Benzema's agent Sylvain Cormier have however argued that his client was not involved in blackmailing Valbuena in any way and that a formal complaint would be lodged to the police over the leaks.

The press have information from an ongoing investigation. Who is giving them that information and why?” Cormier is quoted to say by Daily Mail.

He also argued that the ‘snippets of conversation (were) carefully selected to be shown to the public'.
