Ubale scored with a stunner in the 13th minute before assisting Bature Yero's second three minutes later
Nasarawa United striker Mannir Ubale return to the Sani Abacha Stadium to break his former club, Kano Pillars's home record.
Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) defending champions have not lost at their home group for 12 years but the record was gone as their former striker Ubale opened the goal for Nasarawa United in Sunday, August 23.
Ubale scored with a stunner in the 13th minute before assisting Bature Yero's second three minutes later to hand Mohammed Baba Ganaru's men a 2-0 lead at half time.
Sai Masu Gida's men pulled one back in the second half through Rabiu Ali in the 46th minute but could not find an equalizer to maintian their unbeaten home run.
There was however a positive as striker Gambo Mohammed was introduced in the 67th minute after five months out from injuries sustained from armed robbers attack on Kano Pillars team bus in March.
The defeat is a great set back for Pillars in the title race keeping them at 37 points after 25 games and could be 11 points adrift of table toppers Enyimba if they beat Taraba on Monday.
