Agent, Shittu unsure of midfielder’s future at Chelsea

Mikel;s agent John Shittu says Chelsea refused to sell the midfielder last summer

 

After ten years at Chelsea, John Obi Mikel’s time at the club might be close to an end.

The 28-year-old was reported to be interested in leaving the club last summer with a move to Al Ain of Dubai interesting to the midfielder.

Mikel remained at Chelsea this season and has made five appearances, starting only two of them.

His manager John Shittu has revealed that it was the club who refused to sell him.

“The player had offers to move at the beginning of the season, but Chelsea refused to sell because they probably have him in their plans,” is quoted to say by .

Shittu is however unsure of a new contract for the midfielder revealing that they will have to wait on the club to tell them of the situation.

“Now we have to wait and see what happens,” he said.
