Joel Obi Super Eagles midfielder doubtful for Tanzania game

Torino FC on their website revealed that the midfielder is injured but could be out for just seven days

It seem Super Eagles midfielder Joel Obi will not be taking part in Nigeria's 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Tanzania next month.

The Torino FC midfielder was part of the 18-man foreign based Super Eagles players invited for the game by coach Sunday Oliseh.

Torino FC have however announced on their website the new signing is nursing an injury and will be out for at most 7 days.

Though the estimated recovery time is before the Super Eagles, it is not known if the Serie A club would allow Joel Obi to take part in the game.

Joel Obi recently joined Torino in July 2015 from Inter Milan for a reported €2.4 million on a 4-year contract.
