Players in Europe got into action for the Champions League Matchday 4 fixtures and a slew of Nigerian players played some parts too.

We review the performances of Nigerian players.

Henry Onyekuru (Galatasaray)

Schalke Vs Galatasaray

Super Eagles star Henry Onyekuru played the whole 90 minutes but could not help Galatasaray who lost 0-2 away at Schalke.

That was his fourth Champions League game for the Turkish giants this season.

Bryan Idowu (Lokomotiv Moscow)

Super Eagles fullback Bryan Idowu was in action for the whole 90 minutes as Lokomotiv Moscow were thrashed 4-1 away at Porto.

Olarenwaju Kayode (Shakhtar Donetsk)

Nigerian forward Olarenwaju Kayode was introduced in the 63rd minute for Shakhtar Donetsk who were dismantled 6-0 at the Etihad to Manchester City.

Not in action

Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem and Nigerian player Emmanuel Bonaventure were not listed for Porto and Club Brugge respectively while Ubong Ekpai was on the bench all through as Plzen were thrashed 5-0 at home by Real Madrid.
