Ahead of their season at the NNL, the board of the Imo State-owned club has been dissolved by the Governor.
The management board of Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Heartland has been dissolved by Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha.
Heartland FC of Owerri got relegated from the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) after they finished 18th with 43 points.

Ahead of their season at the NNL, the board of the Imo State-owned club has been dissolved by the Governor, Okorocha.
In a statement, the Deputy Speaker of the Imo State House of assembly, Ugonna Ozuruigbo who is also the supervisor of the club, Chibuzo Etuemena has been appointed as new General Manager of the club.
The Supporters Club of the side has also been dissolved.
