Draws hold at 6pm Nigerian time as coach maintains confidence in the team
The Nigerian delegation arrived the North American country on Friday night into the morning of the day as they prepare for news over who they face in the competition which kkicks off on June 6 and ends on July 5.
The coach Edwin Okon is accompanied by team secretary Ruth David and Media Officer Gracious Akujobi to the draw which is timed to begin at 6pm Nigerian time.
Mr Okon is says he is not afraid of the outcome of the draws: "We have qualified for the World Cup and we are here for the draw. It doesn't matter who we are drawn against, what matters is that we are prepared to face any team.''
Nigeria sealed an automatci qualification by winning the African Women Championship title in Namibia and he adds: "Don't forget we are African champions and we hope to show the whole world the stuff we are made of as champions. We hope for a favourable draw but we are not afraid to meet any team.”
Nigeria has never missed out on the FIFA Women World Cup since making a debut in 1991; however, they have not surpassed the record of falling out in the Group stages.
