Daniel Amokachi was appointed as head coach while Ike Shorumu is the new goalkeeping coach of FC Ifeany Ubah
Former assistant coach of the Super Eagles Daniel Amokachi has been appointed as Technical Adviser/Head Coach of Nigeria Professional Football League side FC Ifeanyi Ubah of Nnewi.
Amokachi was on Sunday, August 9 unveiled as the new on Sunday unveiled Daniel Amokachi at the Rogenny Sports Stadium Oba.
In attendance at the unveiling were the president/CEO of the club, Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah and Club Chairman, Chuma Ubah.
"Its not a change in personnel, rather its an input," Ifeanyi Ubah said.
"Daniel is the friend of the club and we are only making it official, we need the best hands in other to take the club to the next level."
"John Obuh will now be promoted to Technical Director and Director of Football, Dan Amokachi will be Technical Adviser/Head Coach while Ike Shorumu will be our goal keeper's trainer/assistant coach.
"I also want to insist that Obuh was well consulted before the decisions were taken."
Former Super Eagles forward Amokachi expressed his willingness to take the club to the next level while also thanking the management for appointing him.
"I am happy to be here, am not that new to the club because I have been coming to watch their games while I was with the Super Eagles although the team has changed a lot since the last time I visited," Amokachi said.
"They have brought in some senior players and hopefully we will return the club to winning ways."
"You know that the owner of the club has an ambition, so that is why he decided to add myself and Ike to his technical team, we will have to talk to the players and explain to them the situation on ground and work together to meet the owner's expectation.
"I'll love to stay in this position for as long as I can but remember the only thing that is not stated on our contract is when we will be sacked so we will try our best to delay that day as long as we can.
''For now, I ll just consult with my Technical Director and get to know the players, and hopefully I resume full function before Rangers match.''
