Iwobi was named Man of the Match impressive as Arsenal thrashed Chelsea 3-0at the Emirate Stadium on Saturday, September 24.
The 20-year-old took to Twitter to express his delight at the Man of the Man award and also praised his teammates.
“Grateful To Be MOM In Such A Game , However There Could Have Been Other MOM's As Well , Great Team Performance Today #AFC #BIG17 #3POINTS,” Iwobi wrote on Twitter.
“It's A Team Sport, Once The Team Is Performing Well , Individuals Shine !! Remember That,” the Nigeria international also wrote.
Iwobi is heeding to the words of his manager, Arsene Wenger who urged him to be humble and keep his feet to the ground.
“He is 20 years old, and I think he has talent, he has ambition, he has a big passion for the game and until now he has humility,” Arsenal manager said about Iwobi.
“We have to take care that he keeps that quality because it’s an important one.
“But he has gained confidence and power. I believe as well he has a good combination of quick passing, picking players out and running with the ball. He gets that balance right, until now, and that’s not easy.”
Iwobi’s new form will also excite Super Eagles Technical Adviser, Gernot Rohr ahead of the crucial 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zambia.
