You need to ask yourself all these questions before you save. You should know why you want to save.

Put all your saving goals into writing so you can remember all the things you want to achieve by saving.

2. Create a budget and track your spending

Budgeting helps you control your spending and also curb excessive spending.

Having a functioning budget helps you know what you are spending money on which means you can save money on stuff you don't need and also cut cost on stuff that might not be important in your budget.

You should also track your spending to know where you can improve and adjust on your spending, so you can find areas where you can save more.

3. Clear your debt
