According to reports on an online sports platform, allnigeriasoccer, a Belgian club – Kalmar FF, has already initiated talks for a loan transfer of the young Nigerian player with the English Premier League club, Liverpool FC.

Further information also revealed Liverpool FC had to loan out the player during this summer transfer window as Awoniyi is not qualified for a work permit in England.

The English side signed the player in 2015 from the Imperial Soccer Academy for £400,000, the Reds immediately loaned him out to German side FSV Frankfurt. As a result, he was unable to perfect his documents for work permit in England.

After an impressive outing at the 2013 FIFA U17 World Cup, Awoniyi started training with the Kalmar but Liverpool secured his signature. As a result, the partnership deal was reached between Kalmar and Liverpool FC as regards his move to the Anfield Stadium.

In the last two years, the 19-year-old player has been loaned to FSV Frankfurt and NEC Nijmegen as part of his training process and integration into the first team of the Reds.

It is also believed that this talk would go through as the Swedish Allsvenskan outfit, who has a good relationship with the Reds, is also clothing Kalmar FF but the club is facing intense competition from other clubs from Belgium.
