There were about 17.2 million cars and trucks sold last year, according to a report by Kelley Blue Book.
The total number of car sales was down 1.8% from 2016, but there was an increase in truck sales. Though there were more SUVs sold than trucks, truck sales made up just over 16% of all vehicles sold. Some of the top-selling trucks included the , , and Over 500,000 of each were sold in 2017 alone.
