Aftermath the sad result from Monday night game, another unfortunate news emanates from the Nigerian camp.
Defender Godfrey Oboabona who was changed in the first half of the game after landing clumsily with his right in a ball challenge with an Iranian has been confirmed injured and therefore will miss the Bosnian match.
The player who was replaced with Captain Joseph Yobo was seen on a wheelchair, with bandages around his leg. The fear that the injury was not as bad as it has been reported creeped through the Nigerian team and the Super Eagles will now play without the combative Rizespor central defender when they tackle Edin Dzeko and his teammates on Saturday June 21.
Inspite of the injury, the former Sunshine stars defender played for a few minutes before been finally substituted when the injury got worse than the player could bear.
Confirming the report, the Media Officer of the Super Eagles Ben Alaiya said: ''Godfrey Oboabona is not okay. He is not going to play the next game with Bosnia. During the match with Iran.
''He has started his rehabilitation but will not train this evening with us.''
Oboabona will be missed in the team, having been a part of the World Cup programme since the team's camping in the USA.
