Why I Left APC, Ribadu Opens Up

The former EFCC chairman has said that his defection was not for the pursuit of selfish interests

Adamawa state governorship aspirant, Nuhu Ribadu has opened up on why he left the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ribadu defected from the APC to the ruling the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in a move that left the nation stunned.

The former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has said that he took the right step in leaving the APC and that it was for a “good cause”.

“As for my next step in this political struggle, this would be made known in due time. For now, I wish to assure you that my defection is in pursuit of a good cause, and never out of any selfish interests as portrayed by a section.

“Thanks for bearing with me on this decision, and for those who have been in solidarity with my struggles and still giving me the benefits of the doubt, I’m most grateful. I’ll never let you down on this new path.”

Ribadu officially joined the PDP on Saturday and he has already shown interest in running for the October 11 governorship elections in Adamawa.
