<h1>Nigerian rapper Sanni Goriola also known as Lil Frosh has been remanded in Ikoyi prison over the domestic violence allegation levelled against him.</h1>

Lil Frosh&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">allegedly assaulted his girlfriend</a>, Okeoghene Iyomaterie, back in 2020.

A suit was filed against the up and coming rapper at the Lagos state Magistrate court in Yaba with the help of the International Association Of Women Lawyers, Lagos State branch.

At the hearing on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, the Magistrate, Adeola Olatunbosun, adjourned the case till March 9, 2021.

According to reports, Lil Frosh is to remain in prison custody till the next hearing.

It would be recalled that the rapper was called out by his girlfriend's manager and brother, Michael, back in 2020 for assaulting his sister.

Michael went on to share photos of Okeoghene's badly bruised face after she was allegedly beaten to a pulp by the rapper.

Following the allegation levelled against him, his now-former record label,&nbsp;DMW,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/davidos-dmw-terminates-lil-froshs-contracts-over-allegations-of-domestic-violence/69cm3ef">terminated his contract</a>.

According to a report, the up and coming rapper was invited by the police on Thursday, February 4, 2021, and has since remained in custody.

According to him, the rapper is alleged to have a thing for coming back to beg Camille after beating her.

The former is common across humans, celebrity or not while the latter is strictly based on their status. Things that wouldn't have mattered are blown out of proportion because they are celebrities.&nbsp;</h1>

Little or nothing was known about Seyitan Babatayo up until mid-2020 when Benjamin Ese, a model scout, <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/dbanj-faces-intense-scrutiny-over-alleged-rape-of-seyitan/xmqy5q9">first alleged on Twitter that D'banj had raped her</a> (Babatayo) at Glee Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos back in 2018.&nbsp;

The girl Babatayo, a model, confirmed the allegation which led to the biggest Nigerian celebrity scandal of 2020.&nbsp;

A lot happened afterward, D'banj was also accused of kidnapping the accuser who was also allegedly forced to delete her tweet where she accused the veteran singer of rape, and the use of the police to intimidate the accuser.&nbsp;

It would be recalled that Miss Babatayo's friend, Benjamin Ese, alleged that Dbanj raped his friend (Seyitan) on December 31, 2018, at Glee hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. [LindaIkeji]

The police stepped in, a powerful social justice organization Stand to End Rape also got involved.&nbsp;

However, after weeks of accusations and counter-accusations, D'banj and Ms Babatayo finally <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/music-veteran-dbanj-settles-with-rape-accuser-babatayo-seyitan/mf7b7wd">settled their case out of court</a>.

2. Funke Akindele and her house party

With the coronavirus pandemic, the whole world had to deal with a unique challenge, one not seen in decades. Lockdown measures were put in place in most parts of the world to curb the spread of the novel virus.&nbsp;

The measures came with orders to remain at home. No parties, no congregation, etc. but one celebrity was caught flouting this rule.&nbsp;

During the lockdown in Lagos, Nigerian film legend Funke Akindele hosted a private birthday party for her hubby, JJC Skillz at their homes.&nbsp;

Clips from the party emerged online which drew backlash and the long arm of the law.&nbsp;

3. Lil Frosh and domestic violence

Still finding his way up in the Nigerian music scene, singer Sanni Goriola also known as Lil Frosh got himself caught up in <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">an alleged domestic violence drama</a>.&nbsp;

In September 2020, a young man identified as Michael took to his Instagram page where he accused the singer of allegedly beating up his sister, Iyomaterire Okeoghene Taiwo whom the musician was dating to a pulp with photos as evidence.&nbsp;

The photos caused an outrage on social media with many calling for his immediate arrest. Lil Frosh is still reeling from the effect of that scandal.&nbsp;

His label DMW, owned by superstar Davido, <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/davidos-dmw-terminates-lil-froshs-contracts-over-allegations-of-domestic-violence/69cm3ef">dropped him</a> just less than a month after he signed a record deal.&nbsp;

4. Clarence Peters and the dead video vixen

Ace producer Clarence Peters is not a name you would expect on this list, but life happens.&nbsp;

It was just a typical day at his home in April, where he also has his studios when a video vixen, Love Divine, well-known as Kodak, a regular collaborator turned up dead.&nbsp;

Kodak, Pulse was rumoured to have <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/how-popular-nigerian-dancer-kodak-died-from-electrocution/xjvqjg6">died while charging her phone</a> during a video shoot at Peters' house. Sources close to Pulse revealed that the dancer was in Clarence's house for an isolated shot and in-between takes, she took a break to plug her phone downstairs.

The video director was <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/clarence-peters-granted-bail-days-after-arrest-over-death-of-video-vixen/19gfdpv">granted administrative bail</a> four days after the police commenced investigations on the death of the dancer and nothing much has been heard about the case.&nbsp;

5. 9ice cheating on his wife

When a celebrity decides to openly come out to tell the world about his cheating escapades, be rest assured that it will be a moment.&nbsp;

Social media was stunned when <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/singer-9ice-begs-wife-for-forgiveness-on-instagram/19rq8l5">9ice in a video admitted to cheating on his wife</a> Sunkanmi Akande and also appealed to his fans and well-meaning Nigerians to help save his marriage.

The singer's appeal came less than 48 hours after a video of him with a young lady identified as Tiwalope leaked online.

In the video, the singer and the young lady were spotted in a compromising position.

The model made this known during a chat with media personality, Daddy Freeze.&nbsp;

"He beat me up so bad...that was when he stripped me naked and he was like I'm going to post this on social media, i'm going to ruin your life. He poured water on me, beat me up, slapped me," she said.

She accused the rapper of threatening to kill and destroy her and having Davido to get him out of it.&nbsp;

He threatened me and was like 'do you think I cannot get away with anything? I'm going to kill you right there and you will just die for nothing because Davido is going to get me out of it. I will just kill you for nothing."

It would be recalled that the rapper was called out by his girlfriend's manager and brother back in October <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">for assaulting his sister</a>.

Michael went on to share photos of the badly bruised face of Camille after she was allegedly beaten to a pulp by the rapper.

The rapper made this known while answering questions about <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">the assault on his girlfriend</a> on the podcast, ionwannatalkpodcast.&nbsp;

According to him, Camille's swollen face was caused by an allergy.

"I didn't do it! I didn't do it! She's my girlfriend. She called me that she noticed that she was having a boil at the back of her ear. She said maybe it is an allergic reaction. She called me days later and said that thing is getting worse and I said what? She said the boil...she was sending me the photos day by day...it happened for seven days," he said.

It would be recalled that the rapper was called out by his girlfriend's manager and brother about a month ago for assaulting his sister.

<h1>On Sunday, October 11, 2020, Nigerian rapper, Lil Frosh responded to domestic violence accusations levied against him by girlfriend, Iyomaterire Okeoghene Taiwo.</h1>

In a statement posted on his social media pages, he wrote, "Based on the wide range of incidents between I Sanni Goriola Wasiu [Lil Frosh] and Iyomaterire Okeoghene Taiwo [thecutegemini], I would like to inform my fans and loved ones that we are on top of the situation, we urge friends and fans of I, Lil Frosh to be at ease and to entertain fear or cause further rancour to this situation.

"We would also like to state that we condemn violence in all forms, be it domestic or otherwise. I sincerely apologize for my actions and inactions. Thank you."

This comes after Lil Frosh's <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/davidos-dmw-terminates-lil-froshs-contracts-over-allegations-of-domestic-violence/69cm3ef">contract with Davido's label</a>, DMW was terminated on grounds of domestic violence. While Davido has said that Lil Frosh will never suffer while he's alive, his contract still remains terminated by the label.

On October 5, 2020, news emerged that the fast-rising rapper&nbsp;had been accused of <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">beating his girlfriend</a>,&nbsp;Iyomaterie Okeoghene Taiwo by her brother, Michael. Later, Iyomaterie also says that the assault <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-froshs-girlfriend-opens-up-about-how-he-assaulted-her-till-she-started/m1rwp2f">caused her internal bleeding. </a>

Michael wrote, "@thacutegeminme my client and sister has suffered enough!!! We have kept quiet enough @lhilfrosh You have done enough damage for almost a year now you have been in a relationship with my sister and client and you have brought her nothing but horror, pain and disaster," he wrote.

"I remember the first time I found out about you beating her on Monday 22nd of June @official_lyta team reached out to me wanting to use her for his musical vidoe shoot but she kept on saying you didn’t like it not knowing you had beaten her to pulp and she couldn’t face the world with so much Bruise. Their team begged to double the money but she couldn’t take the job because of you."

Michael said that this was not the first time Lil Frosh would hit Iyomaterire.

This comes after Lil Frosh's contract with Davido's label, DMW was terminated on grounds of domestic violence.&nbsp;

Lil Frosh responds to domestic violence allegations

<h1>In just a few years of its existence, Davido's Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) music imprinte has produced hits upon hits from its signees like Mayorkun, Perruzi, Dremo, Yonda, and a host of others.</h1>

However, some of the artists on this label have made the news for all the wrong reasons.

The London based singer, Daffy Blanco who has accused Peruzzi of defrauding and sexually assaulting her says she went through horrible stuff in the hands of the singer.

Tobechukwu Victor Okoh popularly known as Peruzzi is one of the major acts on the DMW label.

His song-writing ability makes him a valuable asset in DMW. However, the music star has gotten himself in trouble a couple of times.

In Jan 2020, United Kingdom-based singer, Daffy Blanco, called out Peruzzi for defrauding her to the tune of N15M and <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/peruzzi-accused-of-defrauding-and-sexually-harassing-a-london-based-singer/edth9wd">trying to have his way with her</a>.&nbsp;

According to her, she was linked to the music star through the C.E.O. of a bank located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

After paying Peruzzi the said amount of money, he refused to carry out his side of the deal. She went on to reveal that Peruzzi hurt her physically, leaving a scar on her thigh.

Just when many thought Perruzi was over the first scandal, another lady called him out. According to her, the music star forcefully had sex with her eight years ago.

She said her decision to come out was because of the boldness of his other accuser, Daffy Blanco.

Rapper Lil Frosh put pen to paper and signed up with the record label in late September 2020.

Less than two weeks into his new label, Lil Frosh's face grabbed the headlines not for his music but for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend Gift Camille.

Rema is not signed to DMW but made the headlines after it was alleged that <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/bbnaija-after-finale-drama-rema-urges-fireboy-joeboy-oxlade-omah-lay-to-be-friends/mlpf3yd">he had an altercation with members of the label</a>. Now the gist is that the Marvin Records signee was disrespected after his&nbsp;BBNaija Lockdown Finale performance in September 2020.

An eyewitness told Pulse Nigeria that "The crux of the matter seemed to involve members of Davido's camp, but I don't think Davido himself was involved sha. I do know that words were said and disrespect was involved. It looked like members of Davido's camp felt disrespected by Rema and Rema in turn felt disrespected."

<h2>5. Peruzzi's assualt allegation&nbsp;</h2>

According to him, he was about to leave Bayelsa for Port Harcourt after an event when he was accosted by a man who then pulled him down from a bus and dragged him before Peruzzi.

Interestingly, Peruzzi confirmed slapping him during an interview but apologised, "I slapped him. It was wrong, but I’m a human being," he said.

In a series of tweets shared via her Twitter page on Tuesday, October 6, 2020, the model narrated all that happened in her relationship with Lil Frosh.

Camille's tweets are coming barely 24 hours after her brother and manager, Micheal <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/rapper-lil-frosh-allegedly-beats-girlfriend-to-a-pulp/z9zx16v">called out Lil Frosh for assaulting her</a>.

According to him, the rapper is alleged to have a thing for coming back to beg Camille after beating her.&nbsp;

In a new development, the <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/davidos-dmw-terminates-lil-froshs-contracts-over-allegations-of-domestic-violence/69cm3ef">rapper's contract has been terminated</a> by his record label, DMW, which is owned by music star, Davido.

On October 5, 2020, news emerged that the fast-rising rapper born, Sanni Goriola had been called for allegedly beating his girlfriend, Gift Camille to a pulp.

The rapper who is signed to Davido's record label, DMW was called out by the brother and manager of his girlfriend Gift Camille.

According to Camille's brother, Michael, Lil Frosh has been assaulting his sister for a while now.

The rapper is alleged to have a thing for coming back to beg Camille after beating her. Michael went on to share photos of the badly bruised face of Camille after she was allegedly beaten to a pulp by the rapper.

Michael also shared screenshots of several chat conversations between Lil Frosh and himself where he pleaded for her forgiveness after assaulting her.&nbsp;

The rapper is yet to release any statement to counter the statement released by his girlfriend's brother.

However, he was dragged by social media for his act and his label, DMW was called out for its reputation of abuse and violence.

In the past year alone, DMW artist, Peruzzi has been involved in two problematic situations. First, <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/peruzzi-vs-pamilerin-teni-the-artist-and-his-art-vs-the-audience/s64tzl6">he slapped influencer, Pamilerin </a>at an event and second, he has been <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/celebrities/peruzzi-faces-another-rape-allegation/1ze8v46">accused of rape twice</a> - once by a UK-based artist.

Just a few days ago, members of DMW were <a href="https://www.pulse.ng/entertainment/music/bbnaija-after-finale-drama-rema-urges-fireboy-joeboy-oxlade-omah-lay-to-be-friends/mlpf3yd">involved with Rema</a> in an unsavoury way at the BBNaija Lockdown Finale. Then Aloma, who signed Lil Frosh openly threatened Burna Boy after the Grammy-nominated artist clashed with Davido some months back.

In October 2019, news broke that Nigerian superstar, Davido's label had signed street and social media sensation, Lil Frosh to a recording contract. The idea was that Frosh would be signed to Aloma Music Worldwide, owned and founded by Egbeda, Lagos-native, Aloma DMW.

But on September 24, 2020, Lil Frosh announced that due to irreconcilable differences. He announced that he had become fully signed to DMW.

At the time, word on the street was that Lil Frosh's partner-in-crime, Zinoleesky had rejected the opportunity to sign with DMW. Instead, Zinoleesky signed with Naira Marley's Marlian Records where he has since released two singles - one of which is the underground smash, 'Ma Pariwo.'

In his one year on AMW/DMW, Frosh released five singles including the buzz-worthy singles, 'Fifty' and 'Ko Le Re Body' featuring Mayorkun.

DMW's dismissal of Frosh is smart. Its artists have been repeatedly accused of unsavoury acts. Upon news of Frosh's actions yesterday, people took aim at the label for such unwanted reputation. This was an opportunity for some good PR and it grabbed it with both hands.

It won't exactly wipe the slate clean, with artists on the label continually using terrible things as PR stunts, but it's a start. Impressive affirmative action from the political, moral, business and image angles.

It's just sad that the talented ones are sometimes troubled. The good thing is that Lil Frosh is still young and can change his ways. The problem is that the modern world doesn't give people a chance to change, it just grinds them hard and never makes them forget.
