In our first edition of ThrowbackThursday on Pulse Sports, we profile this fine looking  cutie youngie lady

Back then she was just an infant still ravished by her parent’s love and siblings caress

She would later grow up to become one with the fiercest power strike in a highly competitive sport

Alone she stands as a rock, pairing older sister Venus, she is a rudder, dictating the direction of the swings and pace of the serves

At 18 she won her first Grand Slam title, beating 19 year-old Swiss pro Martina Hingis at the 1999 US Open

That win opened her up for more as she would later go on to second place behind  older sister Venus Williams 2 years later

After that first meeting of the sisters at Flushing meadows in 2001, they would rule the tennis courts for five years in a row from 2002 to 2003 on Clay, Hard and Grass courts in three different tournaments

Serena Williams emerged winner of them all

In 2005, now 32 year-old Serena won her second Australian title against Lindsay Davenport in 2005, after she had downed sister Venus in 2003 for her first Aussie win; then repeated the same feat two years after against Russian Maria Sharapova

All the years until she won her most recent 18 title at the 2014 US Open; Michigan born Serena Jameka Williams has won 6 US open, 5 Australian Open and Wimbledon Championships and 2 French Open

Aside the notable grand slam titles, by 2014; she has also won 13 Women Double titles, 2 mixed double titles, 1 olympic singles gold medal, 3 Olympic doubles gold medals, amongst other tennis championship title numbering to 26

All through her Tennis career, as recorded by Women Tennis Association, WTA, Serena has won a total of 63 titles, and coming second 17 times.

Outside the court, Serena may not be as successful as she is with the racket, love wise

Serena has been in and out of relationships, the recent been the collapsed short hot romance with former coach Patrick Mouratoglou; before then she dated American rapster Common

If there is one thing Serena would want to create a balance in, it would be her love life which has been through the tide and though she is  a strong woman, she still needs the love and touch of a man, especially at the age of 32.

She celebrates her 33rd birthday on September 26, 2014
