FIFA Player of the year Christiano Ronald may not be available for Portugal's world cup opener against Germany on June 16 as the Superstar is reported to be nursing an injury.

Ronaldo has "muscle injury on the back of his left thigh as well as left-leg patellar tendinitis," reports the Portuguese FA, and it may sideline him from the team's World Cup preparation in New Jersey.
Portugal is also considering the fitness of its other four players who are equally nursing injuries. The four spent time in training at the home ground of New York Jets, trying out recuperating exercies to get them in top gear for the World Cup kick off on June 2nd.
Ronaldo was first thought to be suffering thigh injury, however, recent FA medical report discloses that the player's situation may be severe as they have reported patellar tendinitis.

Portugal will play in two friendlies against Mexico and Ireland on Friday and Tuesday June 10 respectively, and they hope the top players will be in full fitness before the kick off on June 12.
