Manchester United forward finally returns to training under Mourinho

Despite the criticism for his disappearance from Mourinho, Martial is back in training at Manchester United.

Martial was absent from the final International Champions Cup (ICC) pre-season fixtures due to the birth of his second childand had to travel from the United States to France.

The forward has however returned to training with Manchester United at Carrington.

According to several reports, Mourinho is at odds with Martial following his decision to leave the pre-season tour to be with his partner

The 22-year-old forward clarified the reason for his delayed return with a statement released during the week.

The message on his Twitter handle stated that he will return to Manchester on Thursday but did not turn up for training.

It is also reported by the that Martial could be fined £180,000 for leaving the pre-season tour without permission.

The Portuguese manager questioned his decision not to return swiftly when he said, “He has the baby and after the baby is born - beautiful baby, full of health, thank God - he should be here and he is not here.”

No official decision has been made if Martial will remain with the Red Devils this season, with the summer transfer window fast approaching, although several sides have already indicated interest in the youngster.

Mourinho is reportedly not impressed with the recent happening and Martial’s name is constantly brought up among the players the Portuguese boss wants to offload from .
