No one would ever have guessed correctly what Wilfred Ndidi's secret talent is even if it took a whole year to provide an answer.
Video: Rare moment Wilfred Ndidi spits 'bars' on FIFA+ series
The Super Eagles and Leicester midfielder showed off his rapping skills in a session with popular UK celebrity barber HD Cutz.
The Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder can actually rap. In a video series on FIFA+ TV, the Foxes star was asked what his other talent was while he had a fresh cut from popular UK-based barber HD Cutz.
After which Ndidi begins to spit bars when he goes: “To all you MCs, imma burst a rhyme. First of all, let me do some bit of introduction."
”My name is Def Willy, on the mic I make you silly… Make the crowd jump to you or touch the ceiling,”.
Ndidi's brief display of talent immediately got HD Cutz cheering as well as his Leicester City teammate and Zambian international Patson Daka who also stated his intention to actually dance while Ndidi did the vocals.
However, when he asked if he raps for his wife, the midfielder said, “my wife doesn’t rate me. Because she sees me every time, she doesn’t rate me. When I rap and everyone says ‘Heyy’, she’ll just be like ‘please, stop it’.
Jose Peseiro's comments on Ndidi injury saga
The 25-year-old who was already with the Nigeria team for the international break, was alleged by a popular Nigerian journalist to have feigned an injury because he would not be allowed to play in his favoured midfield role.
However, the Super Eagles coach in a video released by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) revealed that Ndidi had arrived at camp with traits of a hamstring.
"Because we have that connection with Leicester [City], their fitness coach said to our fitness coach that he [Ndidi] complained in the last match [against Tottenham Hotspur], the 62-year-old Portuguese said to NFF TV.
It remains to be seen if the midfielder will be fit in time for Leicester's clash against Nottingham Forest on October 3.
The Super Eagles will take on Algeria's team B in a test match on Friday, September 23 before the main friendly clash on Tuesday, September 27.
