Dean Henderson is unhappy about rumors' suggesting he assaulted his girlfriend like Greenwood.
Information was been circulated on social media that another Premier League player has been arrested by the police for assaulting their girlfriend.
The rumors then became strong linking Henderson to the situation.
Abuse from several accounts started to pile up slamming Henderson for a similar situation to his teammate Mason Greenwood.
Henderson has however come out to strongly deny that he is the player involved.
The 24-year-old took to his official Instagram account to issue a public statement denouncing his involvement.
The statement on his Instagram story said, "Can't believe I'm having to do this but I'd just like to address the rumours that have come to light in the last couple of days.
"There are some sad people in the world that have attached my name to such inappropriate, hurtful and totally false news stories.
"I have a family who have been affected by this so wanted to put the rumours to bed and move on."
The report came out in the sun stating that the player was arrested for sending abusive messages and attacking their girlfriend as far back as 2019.
A “community resolution” was agreed upon after the incident as both parties settled out of court for a five-figure sum.
