Former IOC and Africa head of Olympics Alpha Ibrahim Diallo died at the age of 82 on Monday

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) on Monday announced tthe death of an executive member and African head Aplha Ibrahim Diallo, who was also a member of Guinea’s National Olympic Committee

before his death at 82, Diallo was a honorary member of the ioc, after serving the Olympic body for 20 years

he joined IOC in 1994, where he served in almost five Olympic commissions before becoming an executive member in 2003 to 2006; Diallo was conferred with honorary membership in 2012

Diallo also worked with several other international institutions that include the UN, ANOCA and the African National Broadcasting and Television Union (URTNA) which he founded

It is with sympathy to the family that the Sports world commiserates with the family and the IOC
