Nigerian boxers Yetunde Odunuga and Milicent Agboegbulem have won two bronze medals at the ongoing 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, Australia.

Yetunde Odunuga wins bronze in women’s 60kg boxing event

Odunuga won a bronze medal for Team Nigeria in the 60kg boxing event after she defeated Canada’s Caroline Veyre in their quarter-final encounter.

She eventually lost out to Paige Murney of England in their semifinal clash.

Milicent Agboegbulem wins bronze in women’s 75kg boxing event

Like Odunuga, Milicent Agboegbulem won a bronze medal for Team Nigeria in the 75kg boxing event after she defeated Kenya’s Elizabeth Andiego in the quarterfinals.

She lost to Australia’s Caitlin Parker in their semi final clash.

The victories for Odunuga and Agboegbulem take Nigeria's total medal haul at the games to 17 on Day 9, Friday, April 13.
