AP Reports that the 28 year-old World number three had a successful surgery in a Spanish hospital on Monday and would remain in hospital for two days to recover fully
Nadal posted before the operation: “Thanks for all your support! On my way to the operation room for a small surgery.”
Nadal’s spokesperson revealed in a statement that the appendectomy was performed at the TEKNON Medical Center in Barcelona by Dr. Segura Movellan and his team.
Nadal also tweeted to the success of the operation and thanked the doctors and fans for their support
