African champion, Aruna Quadri nominated for ITTF Best Player Award

Nigeria's Aruna Quadri left to contest with World number one Xu Xin, European and Asian Champions.

The International Table Tennis Federation, ITTF on Wednesday announced four nominees for the best player award which will hold at the World’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa at the Armani Hotel in the United Arab Emirates.

World number 30, Nigeria’s Aruna Quadri who was with the team in its successful Glasgow Commonwealth Games competition is nominated amongst three other people; Fan Zhendong of China who is world number three; European Champion, Marcos Freitas of Portugal; World number one and 2014 Asian Games champion, China's Xu Xin.

The award event in its second time running will hold on Wednesday, January 7.
