MS Dhoni was frustrated by India's batting display as they fell to a nine-wicket defeat to England on Tuesday.
India captain MS Dhoni bemoaned a poor batting display from his side as they collapsed to a nine-wicket one-day international defeat against England on Tuesday.
Having won the toss and elected to bat at the Gabba, Dhoni watched on as his team fell from 57-1 to 67-5 in the opening 20 overs " with Steven Finn (5-33) doing most of the damage.
Dhoni and Stuart Binny rescued the innings with a sixth-wicket partnership of 70, but once they went India were bowled out for 153, a total England easily reached with 135 balls to spare.
And Dhoni was distinctly underwhelmed by the way his side handled the conditions in Brisbane.
"I didn't think we batted very well " that's something that is really needed, especially if you are looking to bat first," the 33-year-old said.
"I felt the wicket was slightly two-paced to start off with and our batsmen found it quite difficult to rotate the strike or play the big shots."
India have now lost both their matches in the series and are bottom of the table without a point.
