NBA Superstar Lebron James finally met the future king of the British empire and his queen at the Nets Arena, Barclays Centre as his team Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Brooklyn Nets 110 -88 on Monday night.

Dubbed ‘King James’, the 6ft 8in 29 year-old most prized NBA player came face-to-face with Prince William and wife, Kate William; the Duchess of Cambridge in the night where Jay-Z and wife Beyonce were also there to meet the British royalty who were with former NBA star 7 ft 2 Dikembe Mutombo.

James until yesterday had never met the Prince and the Duchess but hours after, he becomes one of the few in the world to get close to them.

They held hands, embraced and exchanged pleasantries and were in the most friendly tone as they joked around

James asked the Prince what shoe size he wears, 'Half the size of yours,' he replied.

The NBA Superstar also presented the royal couple with Cavaliers jerseys for their son Prince George who did not travel with them with  'George 1' emblazoned on it and a yellow other that said 'Cambridge 7'.

The Prince and his wife who are just seeing their first NBA game said: 'It was good, really good. Our first time,' Prince William told King James.
