Ester Ledecka added a FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships gold to her list of honours as he rapid rise continues.
Ester Ledecka added to the giant slalom World Cup title she won last season by claiming gold in the parallel slalom at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships on Thursday.
Teenager Ledecka carried the momentum from her last World Cup race win at Bad Gastein earlier this month to beat home hope Julia Dujmovits in the big final in Kreischberg, Austria.
"I don't know what to say. I'm still young enough to compete at the Junior World Championships, so this is just amazing," Ledecka said.
"It's like a dream come true. Bad Gastein was definitely a good sign for me.
"Every race, every slope and course is different. This course was very long so there was room for many mistakes."
Ledecka's only mistake came in qualification as she briefly sat down in the snow but recovered to post the second best time qualifying time.
"It was a bad start and very nice finish," she added.
Austrian Marion Kreiner took bronze by overcoming Selina Jorg of Germany in the small final.
