England fly-half Owen Farrell wants to see his team stamp their authority in Saturday's Test against France at Twickenham.

Stuart Lancaster's men will play three of their four Pool A matches at the Rugby World Cup at the London stadium.

With that in mind, Farrell has urged England to send a message to their rivals by putting in a strong performance at the venue.

"With most of our games being played at Twickenham, we want to put our stamp on that place," Farrell said.

"It all starts with this; it's a full blown Test match and one that we'll be looking to hopefully win."

Farrell is excited by the opportunity to play a World Cup, which begins on September 18, in front of a home crowd.

"There's nothing I'm looking forward to more than playing in a home World Cup," he said.

"There are not many people who'll ever get this opportunity, so for the lads who get picked it's going to be a huge honour."

Meanwhile, Sam Burgess gets another chance to impress for England, named as one of three uncapped players set to face France.

Farrell hopes the former rugby league star gets his chance to shine.

"I'm very excited to get out there and play alongside him, to play with a character like that and I hope he gets the opportunity to show what he can do," he said.
