Nigerian men’s basketball team D’Tigers have been ranked the fourth-best team from the Tokyo Olympic Games by the world basketball governing body, FIBA.

FIBA release rankings before any competition, including the Olympics.

Ahead of the Games in Tokyo, Nigeria’s D’Tigers are the fourth-best team from all the countries competing.

Australia are number one ahead of Spain and the United States.

Nigeria’s new ranking comes after big victories over the United States and Argentina during their exhibition games in Las Vegas recently.

This ranking by FIBA is the power rankings, which is quite different from the official FIBA World Ranking.

In that ranking, which is based on recent performances, Nigeria is 22nd. The last ranking was in March 2021.

Ahead of the Olympics, Coach Mike Brown’s D’Tigers are in good shape.
