Cricket Shaun Marsh to leave Sri Lanka due to broken finger

Usman Khawaja is replacing Shaun Marsh in Australia's Twenty20 squad in Sri Lanka after the latter's broken finger.

Australia batsman Shaun Marsh will miss the rest of the tour of Sri Lanka because of a broken finger.

Marsh, 33, suffered the injury during his side's two-wicket win in the third one-day international as they took a 2-1 series lead.

He will be replaced by Usman Khawaja, who is already in Sri Lanka, in the Twenty20 squad.

Australia team physiotherapist David Beakley said: "Shaun suffered an injury to his left little finger whilst fielding in the match yesterday.

"An x-ray after the match confirmed a fracture and Shaun will now return to Perth to allow time for this to heal."

Marsh's departure comes a day after confirmation paceman Nathan Coulter-Nile was going home due to a back injury.

Australia were swept in the three-Test series, while they lead the ODIs before two T20s to complete the tour.
