Brad Keselowski took out the Federated Auto Parts 400 and grabbed the Chase for the Sprint Cup top seeding on Saturday.
The Team Penske driver cruised to victory at the Richmond International Raceway, leading 383 of the 400 laps in the regular-season finale.
Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) finished 0.797 seconds adrift, while Michael Waltrip Racing's Clint Bowyer was third.
The win was Keselowski's fourth of the season and sees him enter the Chase in fine form.
Only two spots were left in the 16-driver Chase and Ryan Newman and Greg Biffle sealed their places.
Newman did well to finish ninth, while Biffle's 19th place was good enough to see him book his spot.
The Chase begins at Chicagoland Speedway on September 14.
