Southampton boss, Ronald Koeman and Louis Van Gaal are sworn enemies, Why!

Koeman was manager at Ajaz when Louis Van Gaal was football director, the pair did not agree on players like Ibrahimovic

Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic  who recently described Van Gaal as a ‘pompous a*s’ in his book ‘I Am Zlatan’ has sad that he is the problem between Dutch managers Ronald Koeman and Louis Van Gaal and this was back the men were at Ajax Amsterdam.

Ibrahimovic was a young player at the Dutch club before the big money move to Barcelona; Koeman was the coach while Van Gaal was the Director of Football.

According to the 33 year-old PSG forward, Van Gaal wanted Koeman to rest the player from domestic games so he could feature in the Champions League but the younger manager though it unwise to do so and instead chose to play him

This infuriated Van Gaal who since left the club, leaving Koeman to think the constant meddling into his coaching affairs by the current Manchester United captain meant that he could not cater to hid players

“Koeman went mad. He was furious at van Gaal. He felt that statement meant his hands were tied and limited his chances to fight for me,” Ibrahimovic was quoted saying on Daily Mail

The trip have moved on from Ajax with the Dutchmen set to meet each other once again for the first time in opposing cabins, dishing out instructions as Southampton host United on Monday night.

Another player who has worked under the two managers, Graziano Pelle himself believes Van Gaal is that ‘pompous as*' describing his love-hate relationship with LVG while at AZ Alkmaar, he said

''Sometimes he drove me crazy. he just kept talking!

''But yes, Louis van Gaal is as good as he thinks he is... I have never met a coach who was so sharp on details. He made me a better player.’’
