Veteran Nigerian Footballer dies of stomach cancer

Yomi Peters had been on medicala care at a Lagos medical centre. He was a former player and coach at old Lagos club, Stationery Stores.

Yomi Peters, 74, former player and coach at old Lagos club Stationery Stores has died from the Gastric tumour, which caused the stomach cancer that had him hospitalised at the Ikeja Medical Centre for months

The 74 year-old had been under the care of medical personnel shortly before his death in the morning of Tuesday, November 26.

Peters was recently honoured at the last Sunday's Federation Cup final between winners Enyimba and runners-up, Dolphins
