“Ndidi won’t say no to Manchester United. I can proudly tell you that if a bid is launched, he will ask Leicester City for a transfer,” Bello is reportedly quoted to say.
“Please be informed this information is not true, I'm 200% with Leicester and I don't know this person called Hakeem Bello,” the 20-year-old midfielder wrote on Twitter denying the statement.
Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare that they beat several clubs to sign the Nigeria international.
“Our recruitment department take a real pat on the back for that. We did a lot of homework on him and I think we were one of the first clubs, if not the first, to show an interest in him,” Shakespeare said.
“I think he, and his family and agent, remembered that so we were in the driving seat.
“When other clubs came in for him he remembered the way we went about it first. He had other options."
Ndidi was a 2016 summer transfer target for Arsenal and the Gunners might come back for him after his impressible outings for Leicester City this season.
