Manchester United captain in talks with Chinese club

With the new financial powers of the leagues in Asia, the Chinese Super League are in need of a face and Rooney fits the bill

 

Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney could be set for a move away from the club after 11 years.

According to the UK Sun, the 30-year-old is in talks with Chinese club even though he still has over three years left on his contract at Manchester United.

With the new financial powers of the leagues in Asia, the Chinese Super League are in need of a face and Rooney fits the bill.

Rooney’s former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is already working in China as boss of Shanghai.

According to the report, an agreement has not been reached as the striker is still considering the options available to him.
