3 Nigerian players make Team of the Tournament
Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Osas Okoro and Afeez Aremu make the 2017 WAFU Cup XI.
Nigeria got to the final of the competition where they lost 4-1 to Ghana as the Black Stars Team B retained the trophy.

Following his 2017 WAFU Cup golden glove win, Super Eagles Team B goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa makes the Team of the Year.
Ezenwa conceded four goals- which came in the final against Ghana- throughout the tournament.
Osas Okoro is in right-back position while Afeez Aremu is in midfield. Two other Nigerians Chima Akas and Adeleye Olamilekan make the bench.
Champions Ghana have four players in the team while Niger who finished third have one.
