CSKA Sofia forward Viv-Efosa Solomon-Otabor has been given a debut Super Eagles call-up to replace injured Samuel Kalu for the friendly game against Brazil.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria will on Sunday, October 13 face Brazil in a friendly game at the National Stadium in Singapore.
Ahead of the friendly, Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has called up Solomon-Otabor to replace Bordeaux forward Samuel Kalu who will not be available due to an injury.
Kalu picked up an injury in training and missed Bordeaux’s 3-1 away win at Toulouse over the weekend.
Solomon-Otabor has made nine appearances for CSKA Sofia this season without a goal.
Born in London to Nigerian parents, the 23-year-old started his career at Birmingham City and played for the likes of Oxford City, Bolton Wanderers, Blackpool and Portsmouth on loan before he joined CSKA Sofia in the summer of 2019.
An athletic and physical forward, Solomon-Otabor has not kicked on after his break-out season with Birmingham City where he was named the Young Player of the 2015/2016 season.
He is also the nephew of former Nigeria international Thompson Oliha while his father Victor-Banks Otabor played in Nigeria for Bendel Insurance, NNPC and Eagles Oil.
