Nigerian goalkeeper out of the season with knee injury

Enyeama injured his knee in Lille’s 2-0 away loss to Rennes on Saturday, April 15 and was substituted in the 65th minute

Enyeama has been the first choice goalkeeper of French club, Lille, playing 34 Ligue 1 and Europa League games.

He injured his knee in Lille’s 2-0 away loss to Rennes on Saturday, April 15 and was substituted in the 65th minute.

The 34-year-old goalkeeper missed Lille 3-0 win at home against Guingamp and manager Franck Passi has now revealed that he will miss the rest of the season.

“End of season for Vincent,” Passi said at a press conference ahead of Lille’s trip to Montpellier.

Lille are currently in 12th position on the Ligue 1 table.

Enyeama joined Lille in June 2011 on a three-year contract and made his debut in October against Inter Milan in the 2012 UEFA Champions League group stage, where Inter managed a 1–0 victory.
