Goalkeeper open to Super Eagles return

Vincent Enyeama says he's open to a Super Eagles return after quitting because of his clash with Sunday Oliseh

Despite announcing his retirement from the Super Eagles of Nigeria, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has revealed that he is open for a comeback.

The Lille goalkeeper left the hotel despite pleas from some his teammates and some Nigerian journalists to drive to France in his Bentley.

Speaking to a day earlier, Enyeama said he still opened to return to the Super Eagles.

“I’m still open to playing for Nigeria till I die, till the day I stop playing football, even at the age of 100, but now I just want to go home and be with my family,” Enyeama said.

“I say this because the coach came yesterday and said that he doesn’t know me and that he doesn’t want to know me.

“I trained with the team because Pinnick told me to wait for him to come. I’m respecting him that is why I’m still in this camp.

“The coach has said that he doesn’t need me, I don’t want to play with such a coach.

“He’s a great man, a great guy but I just want to go home and play with my family.

“I’m mourning the loss of my mother, I don’t want to have more problems."
