Ex-Black Stars player ruined by drugs

Abu Imoro former Black Stars spent all his earnings from football on drugs.

Abu Imoro was a talented midfielder in the 1980’s with Real Tamale United and Black Stars and could tear defence apart with his splitting passes.

However, he needs to beg before he can survive after his illustrious football career.

Abu Imoro in a documentary by TV3 has advised footballers to stay away from drug, so that they don’t end up like him.

“When I went into drugs I regretted it very much. I am advising the present-day players not to go near drugs. They are now coming up and if they want to play they should not go near drugs. Keep yourself out,” he said.
