Father of striker says he wanted him to be a doctor, lawyer

Father of Victor Osimhen says he wanted the striker to be a doctor and lawyer

Victor Osimhen

Victor Osimhen is now one of the most popular young player in the world but this was not the dream of his father Patrick Osimhen.

“I’ve always wanted my son to go to school to become either a medical doctor or a lawyer but he was always coming home dirty from the field playing football," Patrick told Complete Sports.

“And each time I watch him play I’m happy and thankful to God. His strength lies in knowing exactly where he is at, but never gets overwhelmed, that I know of him.”

In a separate interview, he revealed that he will not influence the decision his son makes regarding his career.

“God would determine what anyone would become in life,” Patrick Osimehn told Juliet Mafua of Television Continental in Lagos.
