Victor Moses revealed that a 'small injury' was the reason why he was left out of the squad.
Nigeria international Victor Moses has revealed the reason he was omitted from Sunday Oliseh's list of invited players for Super Eagles' 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifers against Tanzania next month.
Moses and Chelsea teammate John Mikel Obi were left out in Oliseh's 18-man foreign based players released on Monday, August 17.
It was a surprise particularly for Moses following his meeting with Oliseh in London some weeks ago.
The forward however revealed that a 'small injury' was the reason why he was left out of the squad.
“Thanks for all of your support and concern. I am having treatment on a small injury but hopefully will be back very soon,” Moses tweeted.
Moses was also missing for Chelsea’s Premier League clash at Manchester City on Sunday after being an unused substitute in their Premier League opener at home to Swansea.
