Erstwhile president of the NFF, Aminu Maigari has resigned the position of the President officially, baring liight to what could be an end to the numerous problems of the NFF.

Maigari did try to lobby the Secretary to the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim to work his reinstatement, an action followed by a directive, stringly opposed by the borad led by acting president Mike Umeg, to recall the Bauchi state born football adminitrator.

According to sources, Maigari tendered his letter of resignation, dated August 12th on the 13th of the month to the General Secretary Musa Amadu

Before resigning, Maigari had tried pulling strings to have him comeback to the post where he has been accused of financial impropriety and misappplication

He attempted using the Northern delegates of the football federation to overturn the decision of the 8 board members that dismissed him.

It is expected that the NFFF would announce his resignation officially by Thursday.
