The Super Eagles camp in Abuja has come to life with the arrival of more players led by the duo of Wilfred Ndidi and assistant captain William Troost-Ekong.

Ndidi and Troost-Ekong were part of the latest arrivals that include other England-based players like Everton's Alex Iwobi, Frank Onyeka of Brentford, and WBA's defender, Semi Ajayi, who is a late replacement for Leon Balogun.

While Ndidi's Leicester City didn't feature in the latest round of matches in the Premier League last weekend, Troost-Ekong played from start to finish in Watford's narrow 0-1 defeat at home to Tottenham on Saturday.

Onyeka also played a part for his club Brentford as they beat Aston Villa 2-1 at home on Sunday, with Iwobi a mere spectator in Everton's 2-3 loss to Brighton.

Others are the Spain-based duo of Kenneth Omeruo, a former AFCON winner, Kelechi Nwakali, and ex-Chelsea defender, Ola Aina, who now plays in Torino.

The arrival of the eight players swells the number in camp to 20, with the interim boss, Augustine Eguavoen, set to enjoy almost a full house when they take to the pitch for another session as preparations for AFCON 2021 continues in the Nation's captain city, Abuja.

Eguavoen and Super Eagles had their first training on Monday with 13 players at the refurbished Moshood Abiola national stadium. Some of the players who took part in the session are Chidera Ejuke, Francis Uzoho, Chidozie Awaziem, Henry Onyekuru, and Olayinka Peter.

Some of the players still expected at the Abuja camp include senior man, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Scotland-based midfielder, Joe Aribo and 2019 AFCON top scorer, Odion Ighalo.
