Super Eagles winger, Samuel Chukwueze, is looking to win the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2021 title in Cameroon.
AFCON 2021: I want to win a trophy for my country - Samuel Chukwueze
Super Eagles and Villareal forward, Samuel Chukwueze states his intentions to win silverware with the national team.
The Villareal wide man made this clear ahead of Nigeria’s final Group D fixture against Guinea-Bissau on Wednesday.
He said that his focus is to win his first AFCON with the Super Eagles.
His words: “I need to do everything possible for them to win the trophy.
“I have won a trophy for my club, so I want to win a trophy for my country, also so that they will remember me.”
Chukwueze was impressive in Nigeria's 3-1 win over Sudan where he opened the scoring. Speculation remains if Chukwueze starts the final group game or if Interim coach
Augustine Eguavoen replaces him with a player like Chidera Ejuke.
The Super Eagles face Guinea-Bissau in their final group D game on Wednesday.
